Fear Stones [Bone Work]

Hmm...

A few years back I had an idea to start sculpting amulets that I called "Fear Stones". Originally I had intended these amulets to be macabre horror art to be sold on ebay. They were to be composed of Sculpy clay and would come with a short story about the poor individual who's soul the amulet was composed of, in accordance with my fabricated lore upon the stones.

However, despite the interests I gained from potential buyers, I didn't feel that such a artificial material did the amulets justice, in combination with my lack of ability in sculpting compared to my artwork of the design. This lead me to abandon the concept.

Now I'm starting to think about reviving the idea and begin to sculpt these amulets out of a more natural material that I feel will do them justice, bone. Tribes all around the world have practiced the art of crafting amulets and other various forms of ritualistic jewelry from bones of a myriad of animals...and I feel that these amulets should also be composed of the same material.

Another alteration in the concept is to not sell them as just macabre art, but also occult related tools for whatever the purpose of the particular buyer. I've thought about the various things that could be done to the amulets to make them useful for practitioners of various Pagan spell workings.

-The eyes could be composed of various semi-precious gemstones crafted into small orbs.
-Runs or Runic Phrases could be inscribed, or burned, into the amulets.
-So on and so forth...

What I'd like to know is how much you'd pay for these particular amulets? I simply want a rough estimate of the base amulet seeing as how what the eyes were composed of, and any other alterations, would undoubtedly alter the price substantially. Also, if any of you have any talent along the lines of crafting, what tools are needed to work with bone, what processes are necessary for successful work?

Thank you for your time.
